Maywood
Station Ornaments
Each year since 2002, the Maywood
Station Historical Committee has released a dated holiday
ornament.
For
the
7th in the series, limited-edition, 2008 Maywood Station Holiday
Ornament,
the Maywood Station Historical Committee commissioned 15 year-old local
artist, Kristen Kaminski, who individually handcrafted each
ornament. Each dated 3-inch glass ornament featured a colorful,
uniquely embossed design, with an image of Maywood Station and a
ribbon for hanging on your tree or for display. No two
ornaments are alike! In addition, each ornament was signed
by the artist. On February 12, 2009, the 2008 release was sold
out.
Previous releases in
the series dated between 2002 and 2007 were designed by graphic artist and Maywood
Station Historical Committee member, Veronica Bruno. Each
metal ornament measures approximately
3-inches in diameter with laser-etched images. The 2007 ornament
features a gold-polished snowflake celebrating the 135th
Anniversary of Maywood Station, 1872-2007, including an
image of Maywood Station and the New York, Susquehanna & Western
Railway logo. The 2006 ornament features a silver-polished
snowflake celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the New York,
Susquehanna & Western Railway including the NYS&W
logo and an image of Maywood
Station. The 2005 ornament features a gold-polished snowflake
with an image of Maywood Station Caboose 24542. The 2004

Maywood Station on the front and the September 25, 2004 Grand
