On May 7, 2009, the MSHC received the 2009 Historic Preservation Commendation Award in the category of Preservation Education from the County of Bergen, New Jersey Historic Preservation Advisory Board in recognition for their work in producing the Documentary DVD, The Maywood Story at an Awards Program and Reception held at Historic Church on the Green, Hackensack, New Jersey.
